Little Rock is a small Midwestern city with a great heart, and nowhere can the soul and energy of the city be better felt than at some of its stadiums and sports venues. Sport is a huge part of the culture, so if you want to live like a local, come and cheer on the city’s favorite sports teams at their home games.

1. Dickey–Stephens Park

This cute baseball stadium right across the river on North Broadway Street in North Little Rock has long been a favorite of local baseball fans. Home of the Texas League’s Arkansas Travelers, you’ll likely see some up-and-coming MLB prospects starting their careers here.

The ballpark has an official seating capacity of 7,000, but if you want a real Little Rock summer experience, join the dozens of families that picnic on the grass over the outfield fence while watching the ballgame.

2. Gary Hogan Field

Home of the Little Rock Trojans baseball team of NCAA’s Division I Sun Belt Conference, the field is among the best-equipped sports fields in Little Rock, with a polyurethane turf field, modern sound system and scoreboard, and seating for 2,500 fans. Don’t believe us? Drive over to 2400 South Harrison Street to see for yourself why it’s so popular.

Trojans’ games attract quite a good local crowd, especially during the playoff season. So if you’re a baseball fan, come down for the big games and you won’t be disappointed by the atmosphere.

3. Jack Stephens Center

If you ask any Little Rock native, they’ll tell you the local sports team of choice is the Little Rock Trojans basketball team, which competes in the highly-competitive Ohio Valley Conference. The team plays its exciting home games at the 5,600-seat Jack Stephens Center, right off the University of Arkansas campus at South University Avenue.

The venue sports an intimate vibe with comfy, court-side seating, but don’t let that fool you; when the Trojans have a winning team, the place can get pretty wild with energy! If you want to get up close to the action, grab a seat behind the Maroon Mob and get to learn the team’s chants as they shout them!

Cheering on your local sports team at their home venue can be a great way to be part of your home city of Little Rock, and so too can driving a stylish car like the Hyundai Tuscon right off the line from a local Little Rock dealership.
