The Arkansas Repertory Theatre
This nonprofit resident theater is well-worth a drive on your Hyundai Accent SE, which has a five-inch color touchscreen and four speakers for your entertainment. The venue offers a year-round season, with different types of shows for all ages. The Arkansas Repertory Theatre is affiliated with the Actors’ Equity Association. The building has 377 seats and an intimate vibe.
At the in-house bar, you can find quick refreshments like sandwiches, ice cream, and freshly-baked cookies. Of course, they also serve coffee, tea, and alcohol, but please consume alcoholic drinks in moderation. There are many good restaurants near the venue if you want to grab a bite before the show!
The Hall
This popular live music venue is located on the historic West 9th Street. It’s just two minutes away from the downtown area and has a standing room capacity of 1,300 people. The venue has three bars with very good drinks at reasonable prices. However, please remember to drink responsibly.
There is also a food truck in the outside area so you can grab a snack before the concert. The sound quality and lighting are great and there are always talented bands to see. If you want seats in the mezzanine seating area, you’ll have to pay extra, but it’s worth it!
Rev Room
Rev Room is an intimate venue located in the historic River Market District. The stage is basically a raised platform in the middle of the dance floor, so you can get really close to your favorite artists. When you’re tired of dancing, there are different seating options available: couches, bar-style stools, tables… There is also a VIP section if you want maximum comfort! The venue only accepts cash and there is an ATM right next to the door.
The bar has excellent food, mixed drinks, and local craft beers. Always drink in moderation. Table service is available, so you can just relax while the servers make sure you have a good time. The sound is amazing and Rev Room attracts many popular bands. In the bar area, you’ll find pool tables and arcade games so you and your friends can entertain yourselves.
Robinson Center Music Hall
This is another great spot for live music with good acoustics. It’s inside a historical building and it has been recently renovated. Each seat has its own drink holder, which is amazing! The concession stand has a good choice of beers, seltzers, and wines, but remember to never drink and drive. All drinks are served in a nice cup with a lid to help prevent spills.
The venue has a stadium-type seating arrangement. There’s not a bad seat in the house! Robinson Center hosts music performances of various genres, art and photo exhibitions, musicals, plays, and ballet shows.
