War Memorial Park

This is an urban park near the river where you can walk, shop, and enjoy the company of people you love. Walk or bike the trail to see beautiful old railway bridges and many sculptures by local artists.

Alsopp Park

 

A popular park for families, Alsopp features a creek where all ages can wade and play. They also have a picnic pavilion, a playground, and wooded trails.

 

Two Rivers Park

 

Find a peaceful retreat away from the stress of the city at this lovely park. You can walk along the river, spend the day fishing, or go for a bike ride. If you enjoy paddling, slip your canoe or kayak into the river to see the views from the water.

 

This park is especially good for viewing wildlife. You can see a variety of birds throughout the year, and there are many deer who consider this area home.

 

MacArthur Park

 

The Arkansas Arts Center is part of this pretty little park. While you are there enjoying the arts, don’t forget to have a picnic near the pond where you can feed the many ducks. Then spend the rest of your day watching your children have fun on the playground.

 

Cook’s Landing Park

 

If you love exploring on the water, visit this wonderful park. You can take a boat out to see the tiny islands in the water, or you can paddle along the shore in a canoe or a kayak. Fishing is also a popular choice at Cook’s Landing. There are even hiking trails if you don’t want to be in or near the water.

 

Murray Park

 

Dog lovers flock to Murray for its dog park. There are also many pavilions, fields for sports, and a boat dock. Two playgrounds make it a great place to take the kids.
