Get to Know the 2023 Hyundai Kona N

The Kona N is designed with the racetrack in mind and has track maps and lap monitoring capabilities pre-programmed and ready to go. That’s not to say that comfort and luxury have been left out, as the Kona N does come standard with a premium eight-speaker sound system, leather seats, and a built-in voice recognition system.

What’s New in the 2023 Kona N?

The Kona N was first introduced in 2022, so the 2023 model year is the first update to this peppy SUV. The N has only a single trim level and comes with a 2L turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine at an impressive 276 horsepower and a combined average fuel economy of 23 mpg.

The only real option for the Kona N is the paint color, with red, black, and white available. Every other feature comes standard, so you will roll off the lot fully equipped to handle anything the road may throw at you.

Under the Hood

The Kona N comes in FWD with an 8-speed automatic transmission and paddle shifters. There are six drive modes that you can select from, including eco, sport, and snow functions, as well as the ability to create a custom setting based on your preferences. Launch control is also standard.

Also of note is the “overboost” function that can temporarily provide an additional 10 horsepower to the engine, which lasts for about 20 seconds to get that extra little bit of performance on the track.

Interior Features

The dashboard features both a 10.3-inch digital gauge display behind the steering wheel and a 10.3 infotainment system in the center console, as well as a digital heads-up display projected onto the windshield that shows you your speed. The center console also sports wireless charging for your smartphone and integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Warranty Information

Hyundai offers the same market-leading warranty for the Kona N that it does on all of its new vehicles. This includes Hyundai’s standard limited warranty for five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first, as well as their standard powertrain warranty that’s good for 10 years or 100,000 miles.

Rust damage is also covered under the 7-year, unlimited-mile anti-perforation warranty, and you also have access to 24/7 roadside assistance for five years and unlimited miles.
