2. Barkus on Main

The annual Barkus on Main, usually held around mid-April, is Little Rock’s largest dog parade, with hundreds of gorgeous pups strutting their stuff. The parade kicks off on the corner of 7th and Main Street in the early afternoon and heads to 4th and Main Street, where there’s plenty of entertainment for everyone and their four-legged woofers.

Enjoy gumbo and crawfish, buy pet products from the vendors, and have a cold one at the beer garden. Please, only drink if you’re an adult of legal drinking age, be responsible and drink in moderation, and don’t drink and drive to ensure you and your fluffy friend get home safely. 


3. Lanterns at Wildwood Park

Wildwood Park at 20919 Denny Road in Little Rock hosts its biggest yearly event and fundraiser, the magical Lanterns at Wildwood Park, between April 20 and 22 in the evenings from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Stroll down lantern-lit pathways through the breathtaking 105-acre park and discover different cultures and periods in history, enjoy delicious cuisine, and live entertainment from around the world.

Lanterns at Wildwood Park shine the cultural spotlight on Ukraine, France, Scotland, Jamaica, China, and Las Vegas this year, and even has an enchanting Fairytale Forest.    



4. Southern Spring Social

Dress in your best spring attire and attend the magnificent Southern Spring Social on the lawns of the Old State House Museum, Arkansas’s first State Capitol, at 300 West Markham Street in Little Rock on April 27 at 6 p.m. Enjoy delectable hors d’oeuvres, sip mint juleps, play lawn games, and listen to live music. Prizes are awarded to the best-dressed lady and gentleman at the event.
