Hyundai Hope On Wheels Celebrates 27 Years with $27 Million Donation—and a Bold New Look

Since 1998, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has donated an amazing $277 million to pediatric cancer research. These efforts have helped more than 25,000 children receive better treatments, care, and renewed hope for the future. As it enters its 27th year, Hyundai Hope on Wheels remains deeply committed to finding cures. It continues to support the families fighting childhood cancer every day.

A Renewed Mission, A Bigger Impact

In 2025, Hyundai Hope on Wheels will award $27 million in new pediatric cancer research grants. These grants will go to children’s hospitals and medical centers across the United States to:

• Fund innovative pediatric cancer research
• Improve survivorship programs for young patients
• Provide long-term care resources for childhood cancer survivors

The grants include the Hyundai Scholar Hope Grant and the Hyundai Young Investigator Grant. These support important new discoveries. They also help promising research projects move forward by advancing research.

With this year’s contributions, Hyundai Hope on Wheels will have awarded over 1,400 grants. These are awarded to 175 pediatric institutions across the country. These funds don’t just treat illnesses. They offer families emotional support and hope that lasts well beyond treatment.

Meet the 2025 National Youth Ambassador: Jackson Trinh

Each year, Hyundai Hope on Wheels names inspiring young ambassadors who share their personal stories of resilience. This year, 10-year-old Jackson Trinh from Albuquerque, New Mexico, was named the 2025 National Youth Ambassador.

Jackson, a cancer survivor, will travel alongside Emmy Cole, who was selected for 2024–2026. Together, they’ll visit hospitals, attend events, and raise awareness for the cause. Their powerful journeys inspire others and remind us all that behind every research grant is a child—and a family—who dreams of a brighter future.

September: National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Later this year, Hyundai Hope on Wheels will host grant presentations at hospitals across the country. These lead up to National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September. It emphasizes the urgency and importance of advancing research and treatment for childhood cancers.

The month-long campaign will culminate with a national event in Washington, D.C. The Hyundai community—including dealerships like Crain Hyundai of Little Rock—will come together to honor the progress made and recommit to finding a cure.
