The Tucson has long stood at the head of the SUV class, and the 2020 model is set to maintain its position as a crowd favorite. If you’re shopping for your next SUV, here’s everything you need to know about the 2020 Hyundai Tucson.

Cabin Experience

The 2020 Hyundai Tucson is the perfect home away from home. As you move up trim levels — the SE, Value, SEL, Sport, Limited, and Ultimate — the Tucson’s list of exciting features grows. But what remains constant is the space it offers.

The new Tucson seats five passengers in two rows. There is a sizable cargo area in the rear, but the 60/40-split rear row can be folded down to offer even more space to pack what you need. To open up your cabin to the sunshine, opt for the available panoramic sunroof that creates an open-air feeling.

Creature Comforts

The higher you move up the trim levels, the more creature comforts you’ll be able to take advantage of. You’ll find luxurious leather seating on the Limited. To keep you comfortable throughout the year, the Ultimate offers heated front and rear seats, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and the dual-zone climate control that the SEL comes standard with. The trim levels let you find the features you want and need while staying within your budget.

Safety Technologies

This year’s Tucson is safer than it’s ever been, thanks to the advanced driver-assist technologies available to it. All models come standard with the forward-collision warning system with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist. The Value brings you a blind-spot collision warning that takes some of the stress out of changing lanes. The Limited includes a surround-view camera you can use to maneuver through tight spaces. The Ultimate has a smart cruise control system and an enhanced forward collision alert system.

Power Play

The 2020 Tucson gives you two engine options to choose from. The first, which comes standard on the SE and Value trims, is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 161 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque. The rest of the lineup is equipped with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that creates 181 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. Each engine is matched with a six-speed automatic transmission.

If you want more traction on slippery roads, each model can also be equipped with an all-wheel-drive system that gives your Tucson a better grip on the road.

Connectivity

Each Tucson has a touch screen mounted on the center stack. This screen performs a variety of functions, including connecting to your phone via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These programs let you stay in touch and use many of your favorite apps without ever having to pick up your device. On the Ultimate trim level, this screen also comes standard with a premium navigation system that turns your Tucson into its own co-pilot.
