The 2020 Hyundai Kona is the perfect subcompact SUV for drivers with an unstoppable wanderlust. The Kona is ready for both your daily commutes and your weekend adventures, thanks to its impressive array of exciting features.

All-Weather Confidence

Each 2020 Hyundai Kona has access to a capable all-wheel-drive system that enhanced your confidence on slippery roads and as your driving through inclement weather. This intelligent system improves your handling as you take on corners, reading multiple data points to better decide which of the Kona’s wheels need power the most.

City-Ready Safety Tech

For an enhanced sense of security in the city, take advantage of the many advanced driver-assist safety technologies that the 2020 Kona has access to. As you move up the Kona’s trim levels — the SE, SEL, SEL Plus, Limited, and Ultimate — you’ll have access to more and more of these confidence-boosting systems.

From the start of the lineup, the SE already makes standard systems such as the automatic emergency braking with a forward-collision warning and lane-keep assist. But if you want all of the driver-assist tech, opt for the Ultimate, which adds a blind-spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and more to your safety arsenal.

Electric Options

If you’re looking to reduce your SUV’s emissions to zero, the 2020 Kona is also available as an all-electric model. This Kona Electric can achieve up to a 258-mile driving range and comes in three trim levels: the SEL, Limited, and Ultimate. Each is equipped with a 150-kW motor that produces 201 horsepower, plenty of get-up-and-go power for your adventures. And with multiple ways to recharge your SUV, you don’t have to worry about being caught without power on the side of the road.

Start Your Engines

The gasoline-exclusive models have the options between two engines that let you find your perfect level of power. The Kona’s first three trim levels are equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. This engine is matched with a six-speed automatic transmission.

But if you want the greatest amount of power the Kona is capable of, opt for the Limited and Ultimate, which utilize a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine to ramp up the SUV’s outputs to 175 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. This engine is matched with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Adventure Features

Choosing between the trim levels means deciding on which features you’re most excited to have at the ready as you take on your adventures. For winter-weather trips, the heated front seats on the SEL are game-changers. The Limited brings an automatic climate control, which controls the temperature and humidity in your cabin. The Ultimate has automatic windshield wipers and a navigation system. Find your best balance between budget and features with the Kona’s trim levels.
